Top 5 World Problem

Ranking of the world's biggest problems in order of severity:
1) Nuclear Weapons
2) Terrorism
3)Human Trafficking
4) Communism
5)Water Shortage

Nuclear weapons are by far the most powerful thing on this list. They can wipe out our entire population. Terrorism is also one of the biggest threats any human can be victim too yet it is not as bad as nuclear weapons. Human trafficking follows because it's not actually killing. Although some people must die in the process they still stay alive and easier to detect. Communism follows because although it's a very oppressive government system countries are entitled to a different government system. It is still a very sad reality for those who live in a communist country. Water shortage is last on my list because it's almost what you can consider a natural cause and is just a reality that is inevitable.

Ranking of solution for each in order of implementability:
1) Making it a top priority for police officers to seek out those who commit human trafficking and target the operations in the countries where the victims come from
2) Making the world more aware with an organization that stresses conserving of water just how they do with energy
3) Make aiding terrorist as severely punished as terrorism itself. Promote vigilance against it in the countries that have it. Maybe provide a reward for those who help aid their determent
4) Making it illegal in the United Nations to have oppressive communist governments
5) Nuclear weapons need to be removed from Earth and taken to another planet or at the very least to outer space.

Human trafficking to me is the most simple to solve because it happens in our country and can be traced back the operations are poorly executed because it's very difficult to hide many people and have no one find out.. Next, I believe that water shortage can be fixed with less stress than the other because agin it is something that can be done domestically and only needs a lot of publicity which is not too expensive. Terrorism follows it because it is something that I think everyone puts high importance on and have already been focusing on. Yet it is very difficult because they are almost like another country. Deterring communism is the second most difficult to fix because it can cause disputes and the fact that you're essentially overruling that form of government makes whatever executes it no better of a system. Finally, nuclear weapons would be the most difficult because there are just too many steps in the process of getting rid of it. Everyone would have to let go of them and not everyone can be trusted plus getting them all out of the planet is very costly.

  1. I'm not sure I agree that nuclear weapons are the world's top problem. You are absolutely correct that they *can* wipe out the entire world's population, but hunger, thirst, disease, exposure, warfare... these *are* killing people: they're not potential problems, they're current problems.

The idea of people -- we who are inherently rash and short-sighted -- having access to that kind of firepower is definitely a problem though.

  2. You have a very interesting list. I noticed that 1-4 on your list are all ways that people are effecting other people negatively to an extreme extent. It's pretty sad how mean people can be to others, so much that they will explode entire cities of innocent people and risk their own lives just to kill others. Usually over a disagreement or as a way to prove power. I think your list emphasizes these problems well.
