The Twenty Percent

1)I spoke to a dentist witht his own practice. He said his target for customers are people who are concerned about their health. Although everyone should be the ones that actually are are his most important.  His customers unmet need is having great customer service and cutting edge technology to feel complete comfortable during their appointments. The demographics vary, but it's mostly those who have dental problems or are educated about their health. His customers mostly use website and business card ads to see services.
2) As these 'target customers' the questions in the paragraph directly above.
3) Does the entrepreneur adequately understand their customers' problems? Where are the differences? Why might these differences exist.
Th enetrepreneur adequately identifies the people who are his most important customers and the way her advertises to the. Because they're older people they have more knowledge about health and also have deteriorating health. So they way he markets to them applies to what the customers are interested in. The service meet their unmet need as well.

  1. It is interesting that you chose to interview a dentist and his customers. The 20 percent of his business is hard to identify and isolate because everyone should be getting their teeth cleaned. So, in your case, the 20 percent are just health conscious people, which is a unique dynamic. That being said, I wished you had included more details in the post. 2. Hi Kevin, great job with your interviews! You seem to be a natural at communication and at present clear articulate questions for your interviewees. I see that this dentist understands why he gains business, however, it is hard to get that much unexpected information about the target customers of someone in that type of profession. I still think that your interviews are great, and unfortunately I missed this assignment, or I would provide a link to my own blog post.

  3. Hi Kevin, I think it's interesting that you chose to interview a dentist because his target audience really is everyone, or, like you said, should be everyone. However, your post was a little choppy and hard to understand and didn't have many details, so I would have liked to see more of that to get a better understanding on how the person you interviewed dealt with this unique industry. Other than that, great job and definitely different than other posts!
Check out my post over on blog!

  4. Hello Kevin, your interviews are very informative and your communication skills show that you have promise as a potential entrepreneur. Although a dentist is a career that doesn't have quite as specialized of a target consumer population as other careers, it's still interesting to see a dentist's perspective on his own target customers. This post shows that you have creative ideas, keep up the good work!
